My Philosophy

Interior Design begins with personalizing your home by surrounding yourself with the things you love, the colors that make you feel happy, the decorative items and furnishings that comfort you. Many designers focus on selling furniture and can set up a well-planned room. These rooms do look good, but often like no one lives there because there is no personality reflected.

Your home should be a reflection of you, your heritage, and history. It is important you incorporate all your heirlooms that are precious to you as they are reminders of your past and give you a sense of identity and comfort. I grew up in my mother’s antique business and have a great love of older things and how they make people feel. An old trunk, quilt, or photograph brings added comfort to a room so I always begin with “so what do you have that you love”.
