Working with your Interior Designer

Collaboration Is Key

When working with me your Interior Designer, you want the end result to reflect you, so you should be involved in the decision-making process. A collaborative effort if great so that in the end the design is something you love. If you prefer the designer to make most decisions be sure communicate how involved you want to be from the start.

Have Your Design Ideas Ready

During your first meeting it is a good idea to bring your inspiration ideas. This helps the me, your designer know what direction to go. You can share your Pinterest board or scrap book of pictures, bring along blue prints, measure rooms, cut pictures from your magazine, or photographs of items you love. The more aesthetic information you can share, the faster I get to know you.

Be Honest About Budget

Definitely have a budget in mind. That way I will know which vendors will suit you best. For example; I could pick out a lamp for $7000 but you want to spend $750. It serves us both if I know up front what you can afford. Leaving room for the occasional splurges of course. If you’re not sure about a budget, just do a little research beforehand.
